ALE FOR ALZ PUB CRAWL TO RAISE AWARENESS AND FUNDS FOR DEMENTIA
Local nonprofit continues mission to educate and fundraise
Tampa, Fla. (June 20, 2019) – ALE for ALZ, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, will host its annual pub crawl on Saturday, June 29 from 2 to 8 p.m. in South Tampa’s Soho entertainment district. The event, now in its fourth year, has raised more than $22,000 to date and continues to raise awareness and funds to fight the disease.
Tickets for the event are on sale now at https://www.aleforalz.org/register/. General admission is $15 and VIP tickets are $30. Proceeds from the event will directly support the nonprofit’s efforts to educate the general public about dementia and ultimately, transform the way people think about it. The proceeds will also benefit the local Alzheimer’s Association.
“Alzheimer’s and other dementias are unfortunately so prevalent, it seems that almost everyone has a connection in one way or another to this disease,” says ALE for ALZ founder Alissa Myers. “That’s why we’re proud to host this event for the fourth year running. We’re incredibly grateful to the community for its support and to the host venues and other partners that help bring this event to life each year.”
The pub crawl is from 2-8 p.m. in the Soho district:

“Participating in activities like the Walk to End Alzheimer’s and ALE for ALZ allow you to realize that you are not alone battling this disease and there is a community of people that all want the same thing…to find a cure,” says Alexandra LaPuente, a Walk to End Alzheimer’s volunteer.
